Little Cottonwood Canyon: Drivers and recreation users should expect work Mon. through Fri. from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., with single lane closures in place. The traffic signal will be removed on the weekends with both travel lanes open. Working locations include the LCC Park & Ride Lot at the mouth up to the Church Vault (MP ), the intersection of Wasatch Blvd & Little Cottonwood Road (SR-209) to the mouth of the canyon, and Wasatch Blvd from SR-209 to the Water District Plant on Danish Rd. Big Cottonwood Canyon: Drivers and recreation users should expect one-way, alternating traffic controlled by a signal; increased traffic; 15-minute+ delays as well as potential noise, dust and vibration along the road. Work is Mon. through Fri. from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m., with single lane closures in place 24 hours a day. Working locations include two one-mile long work zones in lower canyon and upper canyon. Construction is anticipated to be completed by the end of Nov. 2023.
