Going to Alta Ski Area or Snowbird? You’ll be traveling in Little Cottonwood Canyon (SR-210). Going to Brighton or Solitude? Head up Big Cottonwood Canyon (SR-190).

Downhill delays likely today with snow showers continuing & high volume of traffic (especially in BCC). 

‼️Consider an early departure or be prepared for fully stopped traffic at times this PM in upper canyons. 🐍

Carpool, take a shuttle or wait for the bus for fewer vehicles in the canyons today

6am(2/17) – 6pm(2/17): Snow showers continue all day, expect 4-8″ of road snow in upper canyons.

6pm(2/17) – 6am(2/17): Periods of snow overnight become heavier after 2am, 6-10” road snow possible.

Mid-upper: slush/snow covered

📍Slush/snow increases at Cardiff(MP 8.9), be cautious & watch for slick spots.

Lower-Mid: wet/snow sticking

Upper: snow covered 

📍Snow begins sticking at Power House (MP 5.7). Watch for high winds & low visibility especially in lower canyon.

🚨Traction devices REQUIRED

Travel with caution to/from Snowbird, Alta Ski Area, and AltaCentral
