Little Cottonwood Canyon: Drivers and recreation users should expect work Mon. through Fri. from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., with single lane closures in place. The traffic signal will be removed on the weekends with both travel lanes open. Working locations include the LCC Park & Ride Lot at the mouth up to the Church Vault (MP ), the intersection of Wasatch Blvd & Little Cottonwood Road (SR-209) to the mouth of the canyon, and Wasatch Blvd from SR-209 to the Water District Plant on Danish Rd. 🦺 ALERT (SR-190): Rocky Mountain Power Wildfire Mitigation Project
Big Cottonwood Canyon: Drivers and recreation users should expect one-way, alternating traffic controlled by a signal; increased traffic; 15-minute+ delays as well as potential noise, dust and vibration along the road. Work is Mon. through Fri. from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m., with single lane closures in place 24 hours a day. Working locations include two one-mile long work zones in lower canyon and upper canyon. Construction is anticipated to be completed by the end of Nov. 2023. Plan ahead by checking out the traffic dashboard, the UDOT Traffic Cameras in each canyon, digital signs and road weather forecasts.Â
Each resort in the Cottonwood Canyons has individual visitor management policies and parking systems, but all have digital signs at the mouth of the canyons to notify visitors of their parking lots status (limited, full, etc.). Please read these signs before driving up.
